Emms,

I got the package. Thanks a lot. Australia is

beautiful! In color. What do you know? My birthday is

foundation day in Australia and Queen's birthday in

New Zealand. June 2.

I'm sorry. I have been too busy this week and even

now. I just want to let you know that I really

appreciate it. You are all together a generous person.

Thanks a lot. I'll read and respond to others later.

Got to go.

Hi! Terri, a very happy birthday. And many more to come......Reading and appreciating your stories really makes my day. Would love to hear the blow by blow (just like in boxing, can't afford to miss any minute even a wink of an eye) account of how you celebrated it including the one with your honey?!

No, that's only a joke. I know that's censored. He... he... he.... Okay, sige you enjoy every minute of your birthday. And also, to the other January celebrants, a Very Happy Birthdays to you.

This is Chit.

Chit and everybody: Okay ! At last ! I got my wish coz many people greeted me on my birthday. I called my co worker in another hospital. I told her , she is korean, greet me , come on greet me coz today is Jan. 4 and so she did. Then she gave the phone to another , i have not said hello yet and she greet me. I got lots of e mail and last nite Oscar called me at 1015H coz it registered on the cell phone. I am busy coz my honey and I always celebrate one day in advance. He he he!. Love it! Ooops that is not what I mean. I said I love him. We shared what I prepared for lunch and there is the linguini that I have been telling you. I prefer Linguini coz mas mahaba ang hibla ng linguini kesa pansit bihon. Mas mataba at mas mahaba. I do not like to be mataba pero mahaba ang buhay para makasulat pa ako dito sa column na ito. Okay, I told them, we have to divide so everyone get their share. I told them , make sure you write your name on your plate coz no more plates.

I also got fresh pineapple. So sweet and in deep yellow color. Sa trabaho this last christmas puro regalo ng patiente and so we raffle it and I got a big box of belgian chocolate with different flavors inside. Of course, I cannot eat it and so I look at it for a long time. I want to start the year eating healthy. After work, my honey and I went to church and heard mass, lucky us. Then, we went to Carrow's , and I ordered prime rib with au jus , my honey ordered scampi shrimp with salmon and we took it to go to make room for banana split with hot chocolate and caramel fudge and one cherry on top which I ate right away. My honey gave me a card and both of them always has heartwarming messages on it . I treasure all the cards I got from my honey and also when the sons came around. They always write on one card para tipid. I am off for 4 days . Umulan ngayong gabi and so I expect snow in Big Bear. I got to see the snow coz the snow will not make his way to see me.

Asan na kaya si Manong Ed Loyola? Malapit na pala ang birthday. Batiin ko na kaya. Kasi I am forgetful. Never mind. I will greet him on that day itself.

Okay guys: Bye for now and if you have questions, keep it to yourself.

Gerry, It sounds like a paradise to me. Good and

healthy food, peaceful and quiet place. No wonder it

is growing strong. I agree with you. Sana, all the

mayors are like Mayor Duterte.

Someday, I will come home and then go to Davao with

family, eat all the fruits there, lansones, durian,

etc. at saka fresh fish, ipaiihaw ko. wow. sarap

talagang mangarap. Thanks for making me drool.

Enjoy your stay and Happy New Year to you and your

family.

You're welcome. Kung para saan man yon. Natatawa ako

kasi, matanda na talaga ako. Ni hindi ko maalala

exactly kung ano ang last nating communication na

pinag thanks mo. Siguro, in regards to the phrase that

I quoted about your hard workingness in taking care of

your plants.

Anyway, alam mo, na iintrigue ako about your e-mail

address. Why are you using Prima and Emma? You are the

same person, Emma and Prima, right?

IN regards to plants. That's same words I got from my

uncle, kaya puros fruit trees ang meron ako. Sabi nya

noong my trees were palm trees and flowers, basura daw

lahat ang gusto ko. Walang pakinabang.

It is not true. They give me pleasure, just to sit

under it's shade and to look at them. Flowers are so

uplifting. They make me smile and be proud of my

achievements. Just to have them grow make me feel like

God's heaven is so close to me. And I love to think

that somedays, I will be in heaven. That's why I am

not afraid of death.

Got to go now again. The pharmacy just called. I need

to pick up my son's Rx.

yes, prima and emma are one and the same.mostly emma ang tawag sa akin ever since i was born.sa school and other legal documents and passport i used prima.dahil iyon ang nasa birth certificate.other than that i used emma.i am busy planting more plants.i separated all the staghorn kaya 6 na sila and planted more bromeliads.my sister in law came and got some cactus and roses.nakita niya noong namumulaklak ang cactus ko she wanted to plant some herself.plants and flowers gives us a diffferent kind of pleasure and enjoyment.to look at them, and see those flowering plants are enough reward to my hard work.anyway i am glad you like the calendar.take care and i will see you later.

Yon bang staghorn ay iyong parang sungay ng deer? I

like those. Sa cactus, I am impress on how much of

them have flowers and beautiful ones too. I like the

christmas one the most because of the red color. Sa

roses, the best are the smelling ones. They smell so

goood. I also like the light orange colors. But of

course, the red ones are very attractive too. Just

that the light orange ones are rarer. I really think I

will get back on planting. Thanks for sharing yours.

You are an inspiration.

Happy New Year to All! Chit, thanks for the birthday wish, Jan. 22 pa. Terri celebrated hers today and si Ed sa Jan. 31. We are in the middle of our winter here in Vancouver, lots of rain and wind storm. I would also like to extend an invitation to those who are planning to vacation in Canada, If you come my city will be the first port of entry into Canada from Asia, so let me now kung sino man ang gustong mag bisita, like what Cora said, kahit saan saan na lang kahit sa latag na lang. We have extra guest room. It would be nice to have visitors. Let me know so I can prepare. The best time to come is from April to Oct., spring is beautiful as nature bursts in glorious colors of greens and reds, yellows, pinks, lilacs and all the colors of the rainbow. Henia, malapit ka naman sa amin get in your car and head north you will eventually hit Vancouver. So long, I will wait for you to ring my doorbell...

I really love to go and see your place. Shirley, remember the post card you sent me when you first arrived Canada was a picture of the Niagara falls.(I have kept that post card for a long time but now can't find it anymore.) Sabi anak ko galing daw akong magtago things pag needed can't seem to find everything I kept but am pretty sure it still among my files. How I dreamt to see that since then. And when I go to libraries, during spare time, would scan encyclopedias on places and my priority was to view Canada in pictures. That's how I've loved your place. Now that you're inviting us, my concern at the moment is how to leave my kids, though you would say they're already grown ups. Good, if I can request any of my siblings to take watch. Got to think about it and more importantly, how to leave my work. I never have any long vacations except for a week's leave when my husband died, two to three weeks during my 3 maternity leaves and on top of that during those leaves, they would ask me to go to the office even for just an hour or two. Okay sige, i will have serious thoughts these coming days. And also, my concern is can I bring along my son who's now 23, a graduate of Computer Science working also in our office as Administrative Assistant. He wants to see and find opportunities there. How is it? Please advice my friends. To Cora and Shirley, hindi kami delikado we can sleep anywhere. Till here, we would be attending the anticipated mass in Canlalay Chapel. God Bless us all!

Hi Josephine..thanks for the greetings...I was not able to attend my family Christmas get together in Toronto this year as I wanted to avoid the hassle of holiday travel. I finally finished taking the Christmas tree and the lights down with the help of my son Dylan, I always feel a touch of sadness as I take down the last ornament and the angel that topped the tree, another year past and another year older but wiser, what have a learned this year I asked myself? Patience and compassion.

I will let my aunt Zeny know that I am in touch with you. Take care and say hello to my auntie Gin who lives in Capinpin St. Shelives in San Vicente with her husband and will be going back to Canada in April I believe. I am trying to get back to Binan before they return to Canada, I am hopeful that I will make it soon.

Till then....Shirley

yong lolo na walang ngipin, hindi magandang tingnan

pero nakakatuwa. Yong mga tunay na baby, kahit bungal,

I believe masakit din ang thalassemia, di ba? Pag

active ang disease. Pero, nagagamot naman, di ba? Can

the medicine help to get the cells to be normal?

What's the danger if it is abnormal in shape? I

understand it to be a problem if the count is low, you

become anemic and that's when you get the feeling of

fatigue, pale color, poor memory? If you don't mind,

can you educate me about this? How did you know and

how do you treat it?

Professor Paeng,

Ngayon ko lang napanood ang little drummer boy, Boy!!

it is excellent. It is so well done, funny,

entertaining and meaningful. I love it! You are the

one and only one of our group that is gifted with this

talent. Your family must be so proud of you. "My

husband, my dad is the best". Then they will be

showing off your website to all their amigas, amigos

and everyone they know. I know I will if I were them.

It is something to really show off.

Thanks for cheering me up. Happy New Year to you. I

hope you are happy.
